Frank Annoh-Dompreh is a prominent Ghanaian politician and consultant affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri from January 2013 to January 2025.
He is currently the Minority Chief Whip (Caucus) in Parliament.
During his tenure, he has held significant positions, including chairperson of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs and a member of both the Subsidiary Legislation and Roads and Transport Committees.
Early Life
Frank Annoh-Dompreh was born in Nsawam-Adoagyiri, in the Eastern Region of Ghana, in 1977. He pursued his higher education at the University of Cape Coast, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.
Annoh-Dompreh continued his studies at Mountcrest University, obtaining both an LLB and an LLM.
Additionally, he holds an MSc in Environmental Science from the Institute of Local Government and an MSc in Climate Change from the University of Ghana.
Politics
Annoh-Dompreh's political journey began during his student years when he served as president of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) while at the University of Cape Coast in 2000. Following this, he was appointed as the Eastern Regional Youth Organiser for the New Patriotic Party.
In 2012, Annoh-Dompreh contested the Nsawam/Adoagyiri NPP parliamentary primaries against Seth Wiafe Danquah and emerged victorious, receiving 366 out of 482 votes cast.
He subsequently won the parliamentary seat in the 2012 Ghanaian elections, defeating Ben Ohene-Ayeh from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He successfully retained his seat in the 2016 Ghanaian parliamentary elections and currently serves on multiple Parliamentary Select Committees, including Subsidiary Legislation and Roads and Transport.

Controversies
In January 2025, Annoh-Dompreh was involved in a controversial incident during the vetting process, where he had an altercation with Emeafa Hardcastle, whom he accused of calling him "silly."
This confrontation led to a heated exchange, with Hardcastle confronting him and stating, "You think you can bully me here?" Following this incident, she issued an apology.
Later in January 2025, Annoh-Dompreh was suspended for two weeks by Alban Bagbin due to his involvement in chaos during a sitting of the Appointments Committee.
