Dr. Frank Amoakohene is a dynamic leader, health professional, and public servant, currently serving as the Ashanti Regional Minister: the youngest Regional Minister in Ghana.
Dr. Frank Amoakohene (born September 24, 1990) is a Ghanaian medical professional, politician, and youth leader. He currently serves as the Ashanti Regional Minister and has contributed significantly to healthcare, governance, and public service.
Born in Accra and originally from Nsuta-Asuafu in the Ashanti Region,Amoakohene attended Osei Tutu Secondary School before earning a BSc in Medical Laboratory Sciences (2014) and an MBChB (2020) from the University of Ghana. He later completed a Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science (2023) at UDS and an MBA (2024) from Accra Business School.

President of the University of Ghana Allied Health Students Association (2013–2014) President of NAHSAG (2015–2016) President of NUGS (2017) Transitioning into mainstream politics, he became the NDC parliamentary candidate for Mampong (2020) and later served as the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC.
In January 2025, he was appointed Ashanti Regional Minister, becoming the youngest to hold the position in Ghana’s history.
