Collins Adomako-Mensah is a prominent Ghanaian politician and a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He currently holds the position of Deputy Ranking Member on Parliament's Energy Committee and serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Afigya Kwabre North constituency in the 8th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana.
Early Life and Education
Collins Adomako-Mensah was born in Boaman-Maase in the Ashanti Region. He completed his secondary education at the Presbyterian Boys' Senior Secondary School, Legon.
He pursued higher education at the University of Ghana, Legon, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Banking and Finance in 2007, an Executive Master of Business Administration in 2016, and a Master of Arts in Economics.
Career and Politics
Before entering Parliament, Adomako-Mensah served as an Assembly Member for the Boaman North Electoral Area from 2010 to 2014.
He has gained valuable experience working in various financial institutions, including GCB Bank and Fidelity Bank, where he served as a Deputy Manager and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Banking, as well as a Relationship Manager.
Adomako-Mensah contested in the 2020 NPP parliamentary primaries for the Afigya Kwabre North seat and emerged victorious against the incumbent MP, Nana Marfo Amaniampong.
He was subsequently elected during the 2020 Ghanaian general elections, officially assuming office on January 7, 2021.
In November 2021, he demonstrated his commitment to his constituents by donating mathematical sets and other stationery to candidates in the Afigya Kwabre North Constituency.

Controversy
In 2020, Adomako-Mensah faced allegations related to a theft of GHS264,094.
It was claimed that he transferred funds belonging to Gen X Trading Company Limited to his own company, AND Financial Services, during his tenure as a client service officer for the company, without their permission or knowledge, a transaction that reportedly occurred between 2016 and 2017.

Personal Life
Adomako-Mensah is a Christian and is married with three children. He is also the nephew of Albert Kan-Dapaah.
As the current Deputy Ranking Member, he has criticised the government's energy policies, particularly advocating for the repeal of the "One Ghana Cedi" fuel levy in early 2026.
