St. James Catholic Church hosted an elegant 70th Birthday and Retirement Party for Mrs. Patience Adigbli, a community activist and member of the Ewe Association of Chicago. Highlights of the celebrations includes traditional Adowa and Borborbor Dance, the cutting of the memorial cake and when Mrs. Adigbli took the floor to do her own thing in style! In his summation in a toast, at the celebrations, Dr. Mark Kutame, the current President of the Ewe Association of Chicago, said "It's appropriate that we're here having a party for Patience, because she's invariably the life of most any party. When most of us are too tired to be at meeting or at a function, or are not inclined to dare the elements you can always count on Patience to be the one person to be there. Happy birthday to a very special lady and a golden inspiration to us all on her retirement from public service." Clement Timpo, former President of the Ghana National Council (GNC) and member of the Ewe Association of Chicago in describing Mrs. Adigbli's contributions to the Ghanaian community said of her: ?Patience is a person whom you can entrust a lot of responsibility. Her interpersonal skills and her ability to communicate with her peers and others is a great asset??.
