Wendy Shay has finally addressed the incident in which she was captured moving Lasmid's hand from her thigh during a video shoot.
The songstress recently became the subject of online discussion after a video of the situation went viral.
In the video, Wendy Shay and Lasmid were seated on the same chair when Lasmid appeared to place his hand on the singer's thigh, prompting her to move it away.
Social media users have since criticised Wendy Shay, describing her reaction as unnecessary.

However, responding to the criticism in an interview with DJ Slim, excerpts of which have been shared on X, Wendy Shay said her actions had been misinterpreted.
According to the singer, she moved Lasmid's hand because she wanted to sit comfortably and properly on the chair, adding that she was initially uncomfortable with her position.
She also noted that Lasmid is a close colleague with whom she has built a strong rapport over the years and stressed that she would never do anything to damage his reputation.
Wendy Shay further urged netizens to stop reading meanings into the incident, insisting that she and Lasmid share a strong bond and good chemistry.

“Honestly, it’s so unbelievable that none of you could see exactly what happened. I have a rapport with him; that was why I was able to remove his hands. If I didn’t have that rapport, I wouldn’t be able to remove his hands.
“Everything is blown out of proportion. The biggest was sitting in the chair, and I wanted to sit on the edge, but because I have a fat ass with hips, I had to remove his hands so I could sit well. So the picture could be nice. He is my guy,” she said.
