Are Sarkodie and Shatta Wale not emotional too? – MC Yeboah defends Stonebwoy amid feud

MC Yaa Yeboah, a member of Stonebwoy’s public relations team, has defended the dancehall artiste against claims that he is overly emotional, arguing that other musicians like Sarkodie and Shatta Wale have also openly expressed their emotions on numerous occasions. Speaking on United Showbiz while discussing the ongoing public exchanges between Stonebwoy and Sarkodie, MC Yaa Yeboah said it is unfair for critics to single out Stonebwoy whenever he speaks about issues affecting him. “Stonebwoy is an emotional artiste, you get emotional when we talk about an issue. Which of these three artistes is not emotional? Can you tell me?” she questioned. To support her argument, she cited instances involving Shatta Wale, stating that the dancehall artiste often goes live on social media to vent whenever something triggers him emotionally. Shatta Wale reportedly makes over $35,000 from recent ‘Jollof Issues’ TikTok Live She also pointed to Sarkodie, mentioning his songs Advice, which followed his feud with Shatta Wale, and Brag, where she said the rapper responded to comments made by Samini. She further referenced Sarkodie’s song addressing claims made by actress Yvonne Nelson in her memoir, arguing that it, too, was an emotional reaction. MC Yaa Yeboah added that Stonebwoy has similarly spoken out about issues that concern him, including explaining his “Kotoko and Hearts can never be the same” comment during an interview with Saddick Adams and addressing matters through social media live sessions. “I was going to say that when everyone does it, it’s okay, but when Stonebwoy does it, it’s a problem. When we do that, we are not being fair,” she said. According to her, expressing emotions should not be viewed as a weakness, particularly when a person’s family or reputation is under attack. “Emotions are not a deformity, and when you express your emotions, it doesn’t mean you’re mad. If you’re a man and you cannot protect your own and fight for your own, you have no business being a man. The moment you drag my family into the gutter, emotions come in,” she stated.
