Entertainment pundit Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has blamed Stonebwoy, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale for contributing to the toxic fan culture in Ghana’s music industry, saying the three artistes have all enabled supporters who attack rival camps online.
Speaking on United Showbiz while discussing the ongoing public feud between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, Arnold argued that although fans often receive the blame, the artistes themselves have played a role in encouraging the behaviour.
“See, all the artistes are culpable; they enable most of these guys, these attack dogs. They look on for one fan to attack another brand; they are aware, some even house some of these guys. We know, so these artistes are enablers, so no one should come out here and say Stonebwoy or Sarkodie or Shatta Wale; we all are enablers of this thing,” he said.

According to Arnold, Sarkodie’s original tweet appeared to be an attempt to draw attention to the unhealthy direction of fan rivalry and encourage a change in mindset within the industry.
However, he believes the subsequent public exchanges between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have only made matters worse by giving fans more personal information to weaponise against each other.
“It has officially gotten worse. We have now emboldened them with more materials and personal conversations. We have given them more to go at each other with, and we have seen it,” he stated.
Arnold urged artistes to encourage their fan bases to focus on promoting their own music and achievements rather than wishing for rival projects to fail.
He also advised Sarkodie not to abandon his initial call for unity but instead use his influence behind the scenes to bring key industry players together, insisting that collaboration is necessary for the growth of Ghana’s music industry.
