National Operations Directorate Recovers High-Value Stolen Electronics and Weapons; Hunt for Accomplices Continues.

In a swift and decisive operation, the National Operations Directorate (NOD) Surveillance Unit of the Ghana Police Service has arrested three individuals believed to be responsible for a daring armed robbery in Kwabenya, Greater Accra.

The incident, which occurred on January 18, 2026, saw two armed men invade a private residence. The assailants made off with a significant haul of valuables, including:

Two iPhone 17 Pro Max devices

A gold necklace

An Apple Watch

GH¢14,000 in cash

US$300

A car key

In a move highlighting the modern challenges of tech-related theft, the robbers also forced the victim to log out of his iCloud account on one of the stolen phones, potentially compromising personal data and hindering tracking efforts.

Through targeted investigative work, the NOD Surveillance Unit identified and apprehended three suspects:

Francis Amo, alias Agogo

Anthony Boateng, alias Aisha Kojo

Musah Ibrahim, alias Coded, who is believed to have acted as a receiver of the stolen goods

Police reports indicate that the suspects have admitted to their involvement in the crime.

The operation has already yielded positive results, with several items successfully retrieved, including:

One iPhone 17 Pro Max

An Apple Watch

A Samsung Fold phone

A subsequent search conducted at the residence of suspect Anthony Boateng led to the discovery of offensive weapons, further strengthening the case against the group.

The three suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations. The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that efforts are vigorously underway to recover the remaining stolen items and to arrest other accomplices connected to this robbery.

This case serves as a stark reminder for the public to remain vigilant and to employ all available security measures for both physical property and digital assets. The swift action by the NOD unit demonstrates the police's commitment to combating serious crime and protecting citizens in the Greater Accra Region.
