A rapid response by personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service's Suhum Municipal Station saved the life of a bus driver involved in a serious accident on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The 34-seater KIA Grandbird crashed at Asuboi along the Accra-Kumasi Highway. While all 34 people on board were injured, the driver's serious injuries required critical intervention from firefighters. Passengers sustained minor injuries, and fortunately, there were no fatalities reported.
