Residents of Achiase, a community near Aboso in the Western Region’s Prestea Huni Valley Municipality, were stunned after the alleged fatal stabbing of a man named Augustine Boah.

Boah is said to have been killed with a pair of scissors during an altercation with 24-year-old Kofi Yena, popularly known as “Pogba.” The clash is believed to have stemmed from a long-standing land dispute between their families.

Reports indicate that tensions had been simmering for some time, especially after Yena allegedly warned the deceased’s son not to ride his tricycle behind their house.

The situation reportedly came to a head on Wednesday when Boah and Yena met face-to-face over the issue.

During the confrontation, Yena is alleged to have attacked Boah with scissors, inflicting wounds that ultimately resulted in his death.

The suspect has been apprehended and is currently being held by the police while investigations continue.

In the meantime, Boah’s remains have been taken to the morgue at Tarkwa Municipal Hospital, awaiting further procedures.

The deceased’s son and daughter have also spoken with our reporters, giving their personal versions of the events.
