Early on Friday, July 4, 2025, at approximately 4:28 AM, an STC bus traveling from Accra to Drobo in the Bono Region's Jaman South Municipality was involved in a severe accident.

The bus, coming from the Northern Region and heading to Kumasi, crashed, leaving multiple passengers injured—though the exact count remains unconfirmed. Due to the seriousness of the collision, the injured required urgent medical care.

An eyewitness reported assisting police in rescuing victims. With no ambulance immediately available, officers used their patrol vehicle to rush the injured to a nearby hospital.

The quick actions of both the police and bystanders helped reduce the impact of the accident. The cause of the crash is still unknown, but authorities are likely to investigate soon.

The incident has sparked renewed debate over Ghana’s emergency response systems, especially the shortage of ambulances in rural areas. Critics suggest that faster ambulance access could have enhanced initial medical treatment.

As concerns grow for the injured, many Ghanaians are sending their wishes for a speedy recovery.
