Nana Appiah Mensah, often known as NAM1, has returned to address the current corruption controversy involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. In a mysterious social media post, NAM1 appeared to dwell on his own legal troubles, suggesting comparisons between his experience and Ofori-Atta's current circumstances.
The time of NAM1's statement coincided with news that the Special Prosecutor had issued a warrant for Ofori-Atta's arrest for failing to cooperate with a corruption probe. Despite Ofori-Atta's claims that he had traveled overseas for health reasons, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng stated that legal steps will be taken to ensure his return if required.
In his post, NAM1 described how he was once dubbed a fugitive, despite having informed the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and visited with President Akufo-Addo before leaving the country. Despite these actions, NAM1 awoke the next day to reports that branded him an absconder.
"I traveled to retrieve funds owed to Menzgold after contacting EOCO and meeting with the President, but the following morning I was declared wanted. Now it's your turn to be on the wanted list. Life has a special way of unfolding!" NAM1 wrote.

His statements elicited strong reactions on social media, with some viewing his message as a veiled indictment of the legal system. While some sympathized with NAM1's prior struggles, others saw his message as a means to spotlight the alleged injustices he faced.
As the court drama surrounding Ofori-Atta's case unfolds, NAM1's commentary has rekindled a broader discussion about corruption, justice, and accountability in Ghana. With the former Finance Minister now under scrutiny, the national debate over legal fairness and double standards heats up.
