Following the death of Ghanaian politician Akua Donkor, her unsolved dispute with media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, sometimes known as Delay, has become a hot topic on social media. The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) flagbearer, Akua Donkor, died on Monday, October 28, 2024. Her family confirmed the news the next day, shocking internet users.
According to reports, Akua Donkor passed away without pardoning Delay or taking back the curses she had placed on her, which is one of the most popular issues on websites like X. Many have conjectured about the possible effects of this circumstance on Delay, who apparently did not get a chance to make amends with Donkor prior to her death. Others, on the other hand, think they might have settled their differences in secret before Donkor passed away.
Background on Their Feud
In a recent interview with Agyenkwa FM, Akua Donkor recounted a painful encounter with Delay on The Delay Show, which left her feeling humiliated. She alleged that Delay insulted and disrespected her, prompting her to place a curse on the media personality. Akua Donkor recounted, “I cursed her after the show, saying that if she hasn’t given birth before, she will never give birth. Also, she will never find a better man to marry in this life until she dies.”

Akua Donkor was a prominent figure in Ghanaian politics, well-known for her advocacy for farmers and women’s rights. As founder of the GFP, she was passionate about representing grassroots communities and was a vocal presence in the country’s political landscape. She had contested in two previous elections and was set to be the third candidate on the ballot in the 2024 presidential race.
Her passing has prompted a flood of condolences and prompted enquiries about the long-term consequences of her public conflict with Delay. It is still unclear whether Akua Donkor's death without officially expelling her curses on Delay will have any effect or whether the two may have made up prior to her last days.
