A fatal armed robbery occurred in the Aketechieso mining community on October 5th, resulting in the death of Martin Issah. According to the local Assembly Member, Krobea Asante, Mr. Issah and his brother were ambushed by unidentified gunmen who demanded their gold detector. The assailants fatally shot Martin Issah and injured his brother, who subsequently escaped. An official police investigation is underway to apprehend the perpetrators, and there have been public appeals for enhanced security measures in the area.
