Adansi, Ashanti Region — April 6, 2025 The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) successfully saved 35 individuals from two different traffic incidents in the Ashanti Region: Adansi Dompoase and Hweremoase.
The occurrences occurred on Saturday, April 6, and the GNFS troops responded quickly, working efficiently to rescue lives and prevent additional casualties. According to sources, both accidents involved commercial cars traveling down the busy road that connects key cities in the Adansi region.
A minibus apparently drove off the road in Adansi Dompoase due to a faulty brake, trapping numerous people. Firefighters arrived quickly and rescued 18 people, who were then brought to local medical institutions for treatment.
A separate incident at Hweremoase involved a head-on collision between two vehicles, leaving 17 passengers injured and trapped. The GNFS crew used specialized gear to rescue the victims and coordinated with emergency personnel for medical treatment.
Speeding and potential mechanical issues have been blamed by authorities for the accidents. Since then, the GNFS has urged motorists to drive carefully and make sure their cars are in good working order before starting lengthy trips.

Neither incidence resulted in any recorded deaths.
There are still investigations going on.
