Ghanaian disc jockey and media figure DJ K.A has broken his silence for the first time since a private video recently resurfaced and went viral on social media, clarifying that the footage is several years old and was uploaded online without his consent.

The clip, which has sparked considerable buzz across multiple social platforms, has prompted the broadcaster to offer his account of how it may have come to light. According to DJ K.A, the recording is roughly four years old, dating back to his tenure at Silver FM.

He explained that the video was accidentally published to his Snapchat account by his young nephew, who had been using his mobile device at the time. DJ K.A stated that he was unaware the clip had gone up until later, and that he promptly took it down as soon as he found out.

"The video is from four years ago, when I was still at Silver FM. My little nephew was playing with my phone and must have mistakenly posted it on Snapchat. I had no clue until I saw it, but I deleted it right away," he recounted.

The media personality went on to say that even though he removed the post quickly, one of his coworkers allegedly managed to record the video before it was taken down. He mentioned that he later approached the individual, who reportedly promised to keep the footage confidential.

DJ K.A also revealed that he eventually lodged a formal complaint with the police after growing concerned that the recording was being used to threaten and extort him, especially following his transition from Silver FM to Kessben FM. He pointed to a former manager at Silver FM as the person behind the recording.

In a separate narrative circulating online, some claim the video was originally meant to stay private within Snapchat's "My Eyes Only" folder but was accidentally made public. In this version, certain users managed to view and capture the content before it was removed.

The situation has reignited debates around digital privacy, the unauthorized distribution of intimate content, and the serious implications that can arise when private materials are shared without an individual's permission.
