A near-fatal accident involving two commercial buses has left several passengers with severe injuries. According to a police report from the Mamponteng District, the crash happened on September 30, 2025, when a Nissan Urvan driver, known as Shagy, executed an abrupt U-turn on the highway near the Seventh Day Adventist Senior High School. This maneuver caused a following Sprinter bus, driven by 52-year-old Isaac Boateng, to collide with it. Both vehicles subsequently veered off the road into a ditch. All occupants were admitted to Asonomaso Government Hospital for treatment, while the police have towed the vehicles and launched a full investigation.
