A heart-wrenching plea for help from the scene of a fatal accident on the Accra–Kumasi highway has ignited a wave of outrage and soul-searching across Ghana. A viral video circulating on social media captures the desperate moment a victim, trapped and in pain, begs bystanders to prioritize his life over recording the incident for social media clout

"The Video Is Not Important"
The accident, which reportedly occurred late at night, involved a truck that rammed into a broken-down vehicle allegedly left on the road without proper warning signs . In the aftermath, as chaos ensued, a man trapped in the wreckage of one of the trucks was filmed crying out in agony. His voice, laden with pain and frustration, pleads: “Bossu, help me. The video is not important”

This poignant statement, captured in the footage, has become a stark indictment of a growing trend where the urge to record and share content online appears to override basic human empathy and the instinct to provide immediate assistance. The video, shared by multiple users including X handle @eddie_wrt, shows the victim's harrowing perspective as he witnesses people pointing their phones at him instead of rushing to his aid
