Nana Agradaa, the controversial Ghanaian spiritualist-turned-evangelist, is said to have resumed her religious work while serving time at Nsawam Prison.
Known legally as Patricia Asiedua Asiamah and also called Evangelist Mama Pat, she was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor after being convicted on two counts of fraud and one count of deceptive advertising. The charges stemmed from a 2022 TV broadcast where she falsely promised to supernaturally multiply money, leading many to invest large sums with no returns.
Following a trial, an Accra Circuit Court handed down her sentence on July 3, 2025. Despite her imprisonment, her husband, Angel Asiamah, told the Heaven Way Church congregation on August 3, 2025, that she had established her own ministry behind bars. According to him, she now leads a group of inmates, preaching the gospel and converting others to Christianity.
