Following a wrongful overtaking, an articulated truck driver ran over a motorcycle rider in Assin Nsuta, Assin South District, Central Region, killing him on the spot.

According to eyewitnesses, two articulated trucks were proceeding from Assin Fosu to Cape Coast, while the rider was traveling in the opposite way.

Tragically, one of the truck drivers hit the motorcycle rider, killing him instantly. The victim's body was allegedly disfigured beyond recognition.

The driver apparently tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended by former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, who had just arrived.

The culprit was captured and turned over to police for further action.
