A Nation Grieves: Prominent Officials Perish in Ghana Armed Forces Helicopter Tragedy

Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah has reported that eight individuals lost their lives in this afternoon's Ghana Armed Forces Z9 helicopter crash.
The deceased include:
Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed – Minister for Environment, Science and Technology
Hon. Edward Omane Boamah – Defence Minister
Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator
Dr. Samuel Sarpong – NDC Vice Chairman
Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate
Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi
Flying Officer Twum Ampadu
Sergeant Ernest Addo
