Kwaku Shai Wins TV3 Mentor XIV, Takes Home GHC120,000 Prize Package

Kwaku Shai, widely praised for his rich traditional sound and electrifying stage performances, has been crowned the overall winner of TV3 Mentor XIV: The Breakout Edition.

The talented singer emerged victorious at the grand finale held at the National Theatre, walking away with a prize package valued at GHC120,000. The rewards include a cash prize, airtime, a collaboration with an A-list Ghanaian artiste, a music production and distribution deal, premium headphones from Lynx Entertainment, a commemorative plaque, hampers, souvenirs from sponsors, and an insurance package worth GHC7,000, among other benefits.

Finalists and Their Rewards

D-Ennay secured the 1st runner-up position, receiving a prize package worth GHC50,000. His rewards comprised cash, airtime, a music distribution deal, Lynx Entertainment headphones, a GHC5,000 insurance package, a plaque, drinks, hampers, and sponsor souvenirs.

Aky3de3, who placed 2nd runner-up, took home prizes valued at GHC40,000, including cash, airtime, a music distribution deal, headphones, a GHC3,000 insurance package, a plaque, and products from sponsors.

Finishing in 4th place, Andy Quams received GHC15,000 in cash and airtime, along with souvenirs. Ivy Hollys, who placed 5th, also walked away with GHC15,000 in cash and airtime plus sponsor gifts. Tikky, who finished 6th, received a similar package of GHC15,000 in cash and airtime, as well as souvenirs.

An Electrifying Grand Finale

After 13 weeks of intense rehearsals, grooming sessions, and eviction shows, six contestants made it to the final stage of the competition. The grand finale saw finalists Kwaku Shai, D-Ennay, Aky3de3, Tikky, Andy Quams, and Ivy Hollys deliver impressive performances of both original songs and popular covers.

Judges Richie Mensah, Okyeame Kwame, and Kwabena Kwabena offered constructive critiques, with final results determined by a combination of judges’ scores and audience votes.

The night was further enlivened by performances from past Mentor winners and musicians from previous seasons. The highlight of the evening was a thrilling performance by highlife star Kuami Eugene, who brought the audience to its feet with his energetic set.

Fans, friends, and family members present at the National Theatre expressed excitement and satisfaction with the final outcome, noting that the winners truly deserved their places.
