The provisional results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) have been released by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Candidates can now access their results online and begin calculating their provisional aggregates for tertiary admission applications.
To check your results, you will need a valid WASSCE Result Checker containing a serial number and PIN. A result checker can be purchased by dialling *713*5388# or by visiting https://expresscheckers.com/

After purchasing the checker, proceed to the official WAEC results portal at https://ghana.waecdirect.org/ and enter your Index Number, examination details, serial number and PIN to access your results.

To calculate your provisional 2026 WASSCE aggregate, you need to add the grade points from your best 3 core subjects and your best 3 relevant elective subjects.

For many tertiary admission applications, this is done by adding the grade points of your three relevant core subjects and three relevant elective subjects.

For example, if your six relevant grade points are B2, B3, C4 , B2, B3, C4 , your provisional aggregate would be:
2 + 3 + 4 + 2 + 3 + 4 = Aggregate 18
Generally, the lower the aggregate, the stronger the overall performance.

Candidates should also check the specific subject requirements and cut-off aggregates of the university and programme they intend to apply for.
