Managing Director of TDC Ghana Limited, Courage Makafui Nunekpeku, has boldly declared that the era of inaccessible home ownership in Ghana has ended, following the launch of the ambitious Oxygen City Housing Project in Ho.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony graced by President John Dramani Mahama, Nunekpeku described the project as a transformative milestone that will redefine urban living and create unprecedented opportunities for Ghanaians across all economic levels.

The visionary developer emphasized that Oxygen City represents more than construction, stating it embodies TDC Ghana's commitment to building communities, creating livelihoods, and establishing complete urban ecosystems where families can truly thrive.

Spanning 1,860 acres in the Adaklu Traditional Area, the integrated development will feature modern two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments meeting international standards while remaining affordable to average Ghanaian families.

Nunekpeku painted a compelling picture of the future city, highlighting world-class roads, reliable utilities, quality healthcare facilities, excellent schools, vibrant markets, modern shopping centers, and recreational spaces designed for family bonding and children's safety.

The TDC boss dismissed skeptics who questioned whether such ambitious projects could succeed outside traditional urban centers, asserting that the Volta Region deserves world-class infrastructure and dignified living conditions.

He revealed that during construction alone, Oxygen City will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs for masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, engineers, architects, and suppliers. Once operational, hospitals, schools, hotels, and commercial facilities will provide hundreds of permanent positions.

Nunekpeku stressed that investors in Oxygen City are not merely buying houses but securing appreciating assets, building generational wealth, and participating in Ghana's economic transformation.

Drawing on TDC's track record, the Managing Director referenced the company's flagship TDC Community 27 in Tema, where thousands of families have experienced quality construction and thoughtful planning.

He expressed gratitude to President Mahama for supporting the housing sector and traveling to Ho personally, calling it a powerful statement about governmental priorities.

Nunekpeku also thanked Togbe Afede XIV and traditional leaders for their wisdom, the chiefs of Adaklu Traditional Area for providing land, and financial partners for believing in the vision.

He concluded with a solemn commitment that TDC Ghana would deliver Oxygen City on schedule with the integrity and excellence that has defined the company for decades, declaring "The future of Ghanaian housing is bright, inclusive, regional it is Oxygen City.
