Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Chieftaincy, Culture and Religious Affairs, Dr Kyei Asamoah, has led a delegation on a courtesy call to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The visit, according to Dr Asamoah, was to reaffirm Parliament’s commitment to strengthening traditional leadership, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting national unity through Ghana’s chieftaincy and cultural institutions.

The committee also toured the Manhyia Palace Museum to observe historical exhibits highlighting Asante history and traditions.

Dr Asamoah described the engagement as an opportunity to deepen collaboration between Parliament and traditional authorities in support of national development.
