Ghana's premium Five-Star Palm Oil Producing Company, Oro Oil Ghana Limited has won two tremendous awards for the year at the recently concluded Ghana Timber and Sustainable Forestry Awards, 2025.
The two accolades won were; Best Sustainable Palm Oil Producer of the Year Award for their pioneering contributions towards building and promoting the Palm oil industry and on the same night, its CEO, Maxwell Commey was adjudged, Sustainable Leadership in Sustainable Agro- Industrial Development Award.
These remarkable achievements underscores Maxwell Commey's leadership qualities and distinctive creativity for being the biggest exporter of Palm Oil produce in Ghana and Oro Oil's rapid ascent in Ghana's Agricultural industry.
Oro Oil currently has sealed a 10 years partnership deal with some Nigerian Investors to cultivate over 10,000 hectares of plantation size to create affordable goods, abundant workforce and large market through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCTA).
The Ghana Timber and Sustainable Forestry Awards aims to boost the confidence and self- esteem of remarkable hardworking individuals, companies serving as inspiration for others to pursue similar aspiration in the Agricultural sector.

Held at the Marriot Hotel in Accra, the award seeks to recognise CEO's, Management members and Departments Heads who are breaking barriers and setting a benchmark of excellence for their companies performance in the Timber and Sustainable Forestry Sector.
