As the world celebrated the spirit of Christmas, MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation once again brought warmth, joy, and hope to the less privileged through its annual outreach initiative. On Thursday, December 26, 2025, under the theme “Love at First Cry” (2nd Edition), the foundation marked its 7th anniversary by extending compassion to needy mothers and patients at the Sogakope District Hospital in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The foundation presented a cheque of GHS 70,000 to settle the medical bills of over 100 financially challenged patients, including mothers, children, and emergency cases. This magnanimous gesture was complemented by the donation of 50 well-stocked hampers to new mothers, as well as bulk food supplies for the hospital’s wards, bringing joy to patients and caregivers alike.
Thoughtful Donations and Essential Relief
The hampers, carefully curated, contained essential items for both mother and baby. Each package included:
diapers, detergents, baby oil, baby wipes, baby soap, baby powder, baby perfume, baby antiseptics, bibs, powder puffs, baby socks, mittens & hats, methylated spirit, cotton wool, sanitary pads, and toys.

Beyond the baby hampers, the foundation also donated 30 (250kg) bags of rice, 150 bottles of cooking oil, 8 boxes of Titus mackerel, 10 boxes of Original Exeter corned beef, and 10 boxes of spaghetti, ensuring that the hospital staff’s kitchens were also stocked for the festive season.

This act of generosity not only supports mothers in the maternity ward but also extends to patients in the children’s, male, female, and emergency wards, reflecting the Foundation’s holistic approach to care and compassion.

Hospital Administration’s Appreciation

Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Mr. Samuel Omega, Head of Administration at Sogakope District Hospital, expressed deep appreciation for the Foundation’s life-changing intervention. He highlighted that the hospital serves a wide catchment area, including Ada, Sege, and other parts of the Volta Region, with many of its patients struggling financially.

“Many patients remain detained in the wards because they cannot pay their bills, and these debts continue to accumulate. This gesture from MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation is phenomenal and deeply touching,” he said.
Mr. Omega further noted that while the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) provides some relief, it is often insufficient to cover all costs. He revealed that due to the hospital’s strategic location, they often receive numerous accident and emergency cases, some of which are abandoned patients.
He described the Foundation’s visit as timely and profound, adding:
“We are grateful to MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation for this wonderful Christmas gift. This act of love has brought relief not only to patients but to the entire hospital staff. We encourage other corporate bodies, philanthropists, and NGOs to support this noble initiative so that more lives can be touched.”
He proudly mentioned that Sogakope District Hospital was adjudged the Best Primary Health Care Facility for 2023/2024, and affirmed the hospital’s commitment to working with partners like the Foundation to continue improving health outcomes in Ghana.

A Word from the Founder and President
The Founder and President of the Foundation, Mr. Nicholas Cofie, expressed profound gratitude to all who supported the 7th-anniversary outreach, emphasizing that the mission remains rooted in faith and compassion.
“Seven years of service, and our purpose remains unchanged, to bring hope, restore dignity, and share God’s love through action. This year’s outreach reminded us that compassion knows no boundaries. Clearing hospital bills is not just a financial act; it’s about giving people a new beginning and showing them they are not forgotten.”
Reflecting on Proverbs 19:17, “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done,” Mr. Cofie reminded all present that every act of kindness sows a seed of hope.
“We extend our deepest appreciation to every volunteer, donor, and partner who made this outreach possible. Together, we are turning compassion into action and transforming lives one project at a time. God richly bless you”
A Call to Collective Action
This heartwarming event once again underscored how collective compassion can transform lives. Through MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation, ordinary people continue to make an extraordinary difference.
As the Foundation celebrates seven years of service, it calls on individuals, corporate bodies, and institutions to join hands in supporting initiatives that promote love, dignity, and hope for all.
Truly, as Galatians 6:2 reminds us: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
