Hon. Okai Mintah, Chairman of the National Service Authority Board, has stated that President John Dramani Mahama has accomplished what no President under Ghana’s Fourth Republic has been able to achieve within a year in office.

Speaking to *Modern Africa* after attending the TEIN handing-over ceremony at the University of Ghana City Campus, Hon. Mintah commended the President for what he described as bold and transformative leadership.

According to him, President Mahama has demonstrated a renewed commitment to youth empowerment by appointing young, hardworking individuals to serve as board chairmen and in other key leadership positions across the country. He noted that such appointments mark a significant departure from previous administrations, where leadership roles were often reserved for older individuals.

“For the first time in the Fourth Republic, we are witnessing a deliberate effort by the President to bring energetic and competent young people into top-level governance. This is a clear signal that the future belongs to the youth, and they must be actively involved in decision-making,” he said.

Hon. Mintah stressed that the inclusion of young professionals in governance structures will not only inject fresh ideas into public service but also inspire more young Ghanaians to contribute meaningfully to national development.

He further indicated that President Mahama’s approach reflects trust in the capabilities of the younger generation and a recognition of their hard work and dedication.

The National Service Authority Board Chairman expressed optimism that the President’s leadership style will continue to break new ground and strengthen democratic governance in the country.
