President of the Accra Institute of Technology (AIT), Professor Clement K. Dzidonu, has assured students and graduates of the university’s continued commitment to academic excellence and innovation as the institution marked its 21st Graduation Ceremony and welcomed the Class of 2025.
Addressing the ceremony on August 23, 2025, at the ATTC/PIWC Hall in Kokomlemle, Prof. Dzidonu warmly received 1,094 new students into the AIT community.
He encouraged them to embrace their educational journey fully, describing AIT as a hub of opportunity.
“Today marks not just the beginning of your education but your official admission into a vibrant community dedicated to innovation and excellence,” he stated.
The event also celebrated the graduation of 505 students across PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s programs.
A proud highlight was the award of PhDs for the 13th time in the school’s history, bringing AIT’s doctoral graduates to more than 80. Remarkably, most of these graduates have attained professorial ranks within just three years, evidence of AIT’s strength in fostering research and leadership.

Representing the Board of Trustees, Professor Emeritus Clifford Nii Boi Tagoe, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, praised the institution’s faculty and reaffirmed AIT’s role as a leader in higher education.

“AIT’s commitment to excellence and the dedication of its faculty continue to set it apart,” he said.
Looking forward, Prof. Dzidonu emphasised AIT’s vision to expand global partnerships, strengthen research, and continue nurturing the next generation of leaders.
Ranked Ghana’s top private university by the Ghana Tertiary Awards and recognized internationally for its technology-driven education, AIT remains firmly positioned as a pioneer in higher learning.
