Tangled Heart, the latest film directed by Ghana’s Jerry Motive and produced by VoreCine Movies Production, delivers a powerful story that hits close to home. It’s a film that doesn’t shy away from tough conversations—marriage, friendship, betrayal, and the consequences of sharing too much.
The plot follows Sarah, a woman who naively shares the intimate joys of her marriage with her best friend. What starts off as innocent storytelling soon becomes the root of disaster. Her best friend, masking envy with playful jokes, orchestrates a cruel test of her husband’s loyalty. She brings in a seductress to tempt John, Sarah’s husband—never expecting what unfolds next.
But the surprise isn’t just for the characters. It’s for the audience too. The film reminds us that the people closest to us can sometimes be the ones most dangerous to our peace. Yet, in a rare twist that subverts expectations, Tangled Heart offers a rare portrayal of male fidelity in a cinematic landscape that often assumes the worst.

The acting is convincing, the emotions raw. The cast, including Kelvin Kafui, Roseline Aquila, Princess Anaalie, and Firdaws Alhassan, breathe life into every moment. Each character feels real, and their choices are painfully human.

And then there’s the premiere itself—held at the Engrs Training School in Teshie. This wasn’t just a movie screening. It was an experience. Guests were treated to free popcorn, cocktails and mocktails, and a buzzing red carpet that captured the spirit of Ghana’s rising film culture. The film screened in two rooms: a standard one for ordinary tickets, and a VIP room that elevated the viewing experience with better comfort and air conditioning.

In every sense, Tangled Heart is more than a film. It’s a mirror. A reminder. A warning. And for many, a reflection of their own unspoken fears about love, trust, and betrayal.
