The Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital) is set to be upgraded into a Teaching Hospital, according to Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh.
Key Highlights of the Plan
The upgrade is part of efforts to enhance medical training opportunities in Ghana.
The government is committed to building a regional hospital in all 16 regions.
Existing healthcare facilities, including Komfo Anokye and Korle Bu Teaching Hospitals, will also undergo renovations.
The Ministry is working to expand CHPS compounds and integrate healthcare services for better efficiency.
Mr. Akandoh emphasized that improving medical infrastructure and training will enhance healthcare delivery, ensuring better access to quality healthcare for Ghanaians.
