Ketu North, Volta Region — Rev. Martin Amenaki officially commenced duties as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ketu North Municipal Assembly on a positive and purposeful note following his unanimous endorsement by the Assembly members.

Reporting to the office at exactly 8:00 a.m. on his first day, Rev. Amenaki began with a brief strategic meeting with the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Jasper Adenyo. Together with a team of Constituency Executives, the MCE then proceeded to Penyi to pay a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Penyi Traditional Council, Torgbui Dadzi V, and his council of chiefs.

During the engagement, the chiefs extended their warm congratulations and shared expectations for Rev. Amenaki’s tenure, particularly stressing the pressing developmental needs of Penyi. They encouraged the new MCE to prioritize initiatives that would uplift the traditional area.

Rev. Amenaki’s second stop was at the palace of Torgbui Dzoku V, President of the Dzodze Traditional Council. He was formally introduced to the chiefs of the council by Mr. Jasper Adenyo. Torgbui Dzoku V commended the MCE on his appointment by President John Dramani Mahama and confirmation by the Assembly, offering fatherly advice and highlighting key challenges faced by the Dzodze Traditional Council, which he urged the MCE to address.

Back at the Municipal Assembly office, Rev. Amenaki met with staff of the Ketu North Municipal Coordinating Council. The meeting allowed him to familiarize himself with the various departments and their heads, who also briefed him on their ongoing operations and administrative duties.

To round off the day, the MCE engaged with members of the media, sharing insights into his vision and plans for the Ketu North Municipality. He responded to questions concerning local development, transparency, and the immediate goals of the Assembly under his leadership.
