Philanthropist and education advocate, Mr. Dynamic Mawunyega Akakpo, has been honoured with the prestigious Philanthropy Award at the recently held Ghana Basic School Awards 2026 in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards education and humanitarian support in Ghana.

The colourful event, which brought together distinguished personalities, educators, students, and stakeholders in the education sector, celebrated excellence and impactful contributions aimed at promoting quality basic education across the country.

Receiving the award, Mr. Akakpo expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the critical role quality education plays in shaping the future of the younger generation. In his acceptance speech, he highlighted the urgent need for society to invest in children’s education, describing it as the foundation for national growth and sustainable development.

“Quality education remains one of the greatest tools we can give to the younger generation. Every child deserves access to learning opportunities that will help unlock their full potential and transform their future,” he stated.



Demonstrating his commitment to educational development and child welfare, Mr. Akakpo further donated a generous amount of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 10,000.00) to support pupils of Dodi Papaase Basic School and Dodi Atta Kofi Basic School in the Oti Region of Ghana.



The donation is expected to assist in providing essential educational materials and support systems to improve teaching and learning conditions for pupils in the two schools.
