Captain Smart, the host of Onua Maakye, a popular morning show on Onua TV, has reported that several government officials at the Jubilee House, the seat of the Ghanaian government, have begun vacating their offices. During a recent broadcast, Smart claimed that in the past three days, many offices within the presidential palace have been left deserted, with some key government staff already departing, possibly in anticipation of unfavorable election outcomes.
Smart further alleged that surveillance cameras around the Jubilee House had been turned off, suggesting that officials were discreetly leaving the premises. He speculated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the ruling party, may be bracing for a loss in the ongoing election based on surveillance data from National Security, which reportedly indicates that the party could be on the verge of losing the election.
As the 2024 general election in Ghana enters its final stages, the polls have officially closed, and the counting of votes is currently underway. This year’s election has garnered significant attention due to its high stakes, with the ruling NPP and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a tight race for power.
Reports from various polling stations across the country indicate a high voter turnout, particularly in key constituencies, which are traditionally seen as swing areas. The outcome of these regions is expected to be crucial in determining the final results. The Electoral Commission has reassured the public that the counting process will be transparent, urging citizens to be patient as the results are gradually revealed.
As the election continues to unfold, both parties have made strong promises for national transformation, and the public, along with international observers, is closely monitoring the situation for updates on the final results.
