Victims of the devastating fire incident at Kantamanto Market who are members of the Believers Worship Center (Philadelphia) were filled with joy yesterday as the leader of the church, Stephen Adom Kyei Duah, fulfilled his promise to support them financially. The revered preacher distributed a total of GHS 2.2 million (22 billion old cedis) to affected church members to help them rebuild their businesses.
The relief package, which was shared among several congregants who lost their livelihoods in the fire, was received with immense gratitude. Many beneficiaries could not hide their excitement as they praised the church leader for his generosity and timely intervention. Some recounted how the fire, which ravaged parts of the market, had left them in a state of despair, with no means to recover their losses.
Speaking during the distribution, Stephen Adom Kyei Duah emphasized the importance of compassion and community support in times of crisis. He stated that the church's mission goes beyond spiritual guidance, extending to practical assistance that transforms lives. According to him, believers must be each other’s keepers, especially during difficult times.

Beneficiaries of the cash support expressed their profound appreciation, describing the gesture as a beacon of hope. "I lost everything in the fire, and I didn’t know where to turn. This support has given me a fresh start," one of the victims shared with tears of joy.
The Kantamanto fire incident, a month ago, destroyed several shops and goods worth millions of cedis, leaving many traders in financial distress. Efforts by government agencies and other philanthropists to provide relief are ongoing, but Stephen Adom Kyei Duah’s intervention stands out due to its direct impact on affected individuals.
This act of generosity further solidifies his reputation as a leader committed to the welfare of his congregation, reinforcing the belief that faith-based organizations can play a crucial role in societal development.
