The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Tatale-Sanguli in the Northern Region , Hon. Mary Tagba, has been honoured with the highly esteemed Black Star Acclamation Award and the Matriarch of Mentorship & Nexus Beacon Honor at the Blackstar Acclamation Honorary Award Summit 2025/2026, organized by the World Diplomatic Federation.

The awards, which recognize exceptional leadership, vision, and social impact, were presented to Hon. Tagba in acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to urban development, adaptability, and social infrastructure advocacy within the Tatale-Sanguli District.

In the words of the World Diplomatic Federation, the Black Star Acclamation Award celebrates individuals whose transformative leadership has significantly contributed to societal growth, while the Matriarch of Mentorship distinction recognizes women who serve as exemplary role models, possessing the qualities to inspire and positively transform future generations.

The award ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries and community leaders, including the community chief representing the paramount chief, National Liaison Officer at the National Security, Alhaji Yahaya Kundow, the presiding member of the assembly, the Finance and Administration Subcommittee Chairman, the NDC Constituency Chairman, as well as her two children and a close friend, who accompanied her to the summit.
