Efforts by the New Patrotic Party in rebranding and redeeming its reputation has suffered a severely unenvisaged setback in the Asene Manso Akroso Constituency in the Eastern Region culminating in frantic mass disapproval from the Akroso Traditional Council .

The Akroso Traditional Council led by Nana Kwabena Ofori ll - Akrosohene and his subjects has asiduously registered his outmost anger , distastefulness , and indignation over a tailored inhumanely childish and shameful attempts by the NPP chairman of the Asene Manso Akroso (AMA) Constituency, Mr. Samson Effah to denigrate the Akroso stool , custom, gallantry, and the social sustainability that have held the people and tradition over the years .

Mr . Effah Samson, the current AMA Constituency chairman of the NPP has been accused and hauled before the Akroso Traditional Council presided over by Nana Kwabena Ofori ll on Sunday of an alleged WhatsApp status write up that seems or suggests to maline Nana Afia Ohenewaa , the Adontehemaa of the Akroso Traditional Area and by an extension her family. The Adontehemaa who doubles as a former constituency executive of the NPP and sister to Mr. Alex Agyei, a stanuch member of the NPP and former parliamentary hopeful of the party in AMA, has chastised Mr. Effah of non-
verbal attack on her personality and the family on social media channels .

According to the
Traditional Council, the content of the purported WhatsApp status from Mr. Effah is imnatured , unwaranted, despicable , calumny, and pure exhibition of moral decadence, and that was clearly meant or directed toward the Adontehemaa , her family, and the Traditional Council hence demanded an unqualified apology

On his part ,the chairman refuted the allegation or claims and subsequently demanded empirical evidence .The adamant stance of the chairman almost triggered the wrath of the chiefs , but timely intervention of his home chief who accepted Mr. Effah's perceived irresponsible behaviour apologised on his behalf and humbly implored the traditional authority to temper justice with mercy . Moving forward, the chairman has been vehemently admonished to refrain from such an act of irresponsibility since any attempts would not be handled with kid gloves and receive the wrath of the traditional authority.

Some members of the party have also added their voice expressing disappointment in Mr. Effah over the situation, claiming to be his attribute.
