Accra, Ghana – October 10, 2024: The National Executive Committee of the Lotto Marketing Companies (LMCs) has firmly rejected recent accusations made by Mr. Kwaku Antwi Boadu, a former National Interim Organizer of the association, against Hon. Sammi Awuku, the Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA).
During a public event on October 9, 2024, Mr. Boadu alleged that Hon. Sammi Awuku is "the most corrupt Director General in Ghana." In response, the LMCs leadership has dismissed these accusations, labeling them as unfounded and defamatory.
In an official statement signed by Mr. Francis Opoku, National Chairman, the National Executives of the Lotto Marketing Companies Association (NALMCA) clarified their stance:
1. The LMCs disapprove of Mr. Kwaku Antwi Boadu's claims and completely distance themselves from his remarks.
2. They assert that Mr. Boadu's comments were driven by a personal agenda aimed at tarnishing Hon. Sammi Awuku’s image rather than addressing any legitimate concerns.

3. The allegations do not represent the views or position of the Lotto Marketing Companies.

4. The association suspects that Mr. Boadu's motives were self-serving rather than in the interest of the organization or the public.
The LMCs have urged the public and media outlets to disregard these unsupported claims. They reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a positive and constructive relationship with the NLA under Hon. Sammi Awuku's leadership.
"We firmly oppose any attempts to discredit the integrity of our industry or its leadership through baseless accusations and personal grievances," the statement concluded.
