Hon. Samuel Asamoah, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu East in the Eastern Region, has assured residents that the police and their partner security agencies are fully prepared to protect the peace in the area, even at the risk of their lives.

According to him, the three major security challenges facing the district are chieftaincy disputes, the Fulani menace, and illegal mining. He emphasized that resolving these issues will pave the way for easier and more effective development in the district.

Hon. Asamoah made this statement during a media interaction, where he discussed some of the major challenges he has encountered since assuming office as DCE. He expressed his determination to use his previous experience as a former DCE to address these problems effectively.

He appealed to all constituents, particularly religious leaders, community elders, and the youth, to embrace peace, unity, and mutual respect to ensure the growth and development of the area.

Addressing how he plans to resolve the challenges, Hon. Asamoah described President John Mahama as a problem solver and stated that all his appointees are committed to the same mission. He expressed confidence that the security issues and other pressing concerns would be tackled to help reset the country on the path of progress.

Hon. Asamoah also pledged his full commitment to working collaboratively to advance the development agenda of President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“I want to assure you that as the President’s representative in the district, my doors are open to everyone. You are welcome to share your suggestions on how we can move the district forward in terms of development and other issues,” he concluded.
