“The best palm wine is poured gently, not wasted on the ground.” — Ashanti Proverb
As Ghana prepares for a new chapter of leadership under H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the time has come to prioritize loyalty, competence, and sacrificial service — virtues that are not only scarce but vividly embodied by Rev. Joseph Amo.
Rev. Amo stands as a shining example of service — both spiritual and political. His work as a clergyman, his ethical compass, and his ability to lead with wisdom have made him a respected voice not just in the Ashanti Region but across Ghana. His academic credentials in leadership and governance further reinforce his unique blend of pastoral care, patriotism, and political maturity.
During the recent Ashanti Regional “Thank You Tour,” Rev. Amo’s presence was more than ceremonial. His heartfelt address stirred the crowd, leaving even fellow clergy inspired. His unwavering loyalty to the NDC, coupled with his boldness to speak truth and unity in a politically challenging region, proves his deep-rooted commitment to the party and its ideals.
There is rising anticipation within the Bantama Constituency and the broader faith community. The message is clear: Rev. Joseph Amo is not just a party loyalist; he is a servant leader who has carried the NDC banner with dignity from constituency platforms to regional engagements. Ignoring such a dedicated figure, especially in these crucial times, would be a missed opportunity for both the party and the nation.
Bantama knows him. Churches know him. The people know him. His loyalty is proven, his character unblemished, and his commitment undeniable. At a time when national leadership needs men and women of integrity, Rev. Amo represents a trustworthy choice for meaningful national appointment.
In an open appeal to the leadership of the NDC and the incoming Mahama administration, we urge that Rev. Joseph Amo be considered for a role where his rare combination of spiritual leadership, grassroots political experience, and national vision can be fully utilized.
The Ashanti proverb reminds us: “When the drum beats for you, dance your best — for the village is watching.” Indeed, Bantama is watching. The clergy is watching. The nation is watching.
May wisdom lead our leaders to honor loyalty, reward service, and empower proven voices like Rev. Joseph Amo for national impact.
