On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, gospel singer Broda Sammy was caught up in an unexpected incident involving Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president and NPP flagbearer, during the much-anticipated Ghana Music Xperience launch in Accra.
When the controversial entertainer tried to approach the vice president, Dr. Bawumia's security team immediately halted him, turning him into the focal point of a show. Numerous prominent members of the industry, politicians, and music fans attend the event.
During the ceremony, Dr. Bawumia chose to dance when a certain song came on, electrifying many of the attending guests. After observing the vice president from a distance, Broda Sammy made the decision to approach the public figure while he was dancing.
But Broda Sammy's enthusiasm didn't last long. He was about to approach the Vice President when he was swiftly stopped by one of Dr. Bawumia's watchful bodyguards.
Broda Sammy was stopped in his tracks by the security guard's severe voice that reverberated throughout the room. Broda Sammy retreated after realizing he had drawn unwanted attention and perhaps to save himself more humiliation.
