Following the unfortunate death of a 46-year-old farmer who was allegedly struck by lightning during a heavy downpour, people of Adomanu in the Adansi North District have been overcome with shock and fear.The incident happened at around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.Local accounts state that the dead was using a cell phone in his chamber when lightning struck, instantly killing him.In an interview with Adom News, locals described the mood as one of intense grief and anxiety.Following the incident, several locals have urged property owners to prioritize installing conductors or lightning arresters during building construction in order to lower the risks associated with electrical storms.The Adomanu Krontihene and Regent, Nana Wireko Kyenkyehene, sent his sympathies and described the young man's passing as a terrible loss for the community.
