Early on Friday morning, police in Agotime-Zioppe disrupted the quiet by stopping what they suspect to be a large-scale drug trafficking organization operating in the dark.



Officers stopped a motorcycle that was reportedly being used to transport marijuana, and the Volta Regional Police Command stated that 166 packages of suspected marijuana had been seized.Two young males are currently being held by the police as they help with investigations after being apprehended at the site.



Thousands of carefully wrapped packages are stacked together in photos made public after the operation, along with the motorcycle that may have been used for the transport.The magnitude of the seizure has startled locals and rekindled worries about drug trafficking in the Volta Region's border settlements.
