It was anticipated that Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show host Kwami Sefa Kayi would return to the program at the start of April. There are still no indications of his return as the month draws to a conclusion, which begs the issue of why he has been absent.
NPP-affiliated political analyst P.J. Sarpong has raised a number of important queries about the state of affairs:
1. Collusion with the Ruling Party: Given his own connections to the NDC, is Fadda Dickson, a prominent member of the station, conspiring with the ruling party to eliminate Sefa Kayi?
2. Kwami's Notoriety: Does Kwami Sefa Kayi's position as the spokesperson for Peace FM and the media cause Fadda Dickson to be treated unfairly, making him feel overshadowed?
3. Opposition to Appointments: Did Fadda Dickson object to President Akufo-Addo's appointment of Kwami to the NPA board, and is he now retaliating by excluding him?
4. Possibility of Removal: Has Fadda been hoping to get rid of Kwami and saw the NDC's ascent to power as the ideal moment to take action?
5. Coerced Apology: Was Kwami forced to apologize for something he didn't do in order to be allowed back on the show? Why hasn't he returned yet? 6. NPP's Responsibilities: Should the NPP acknowledge that Sefa Kayi may be receiving criticism because of his alleged friendliness toward them rather than the NDC? 7. NPP Silence: Why is the NPP failing to address this issue, particularly since the NDC has boycotted Kokrokoo over it? 8. Patronage Concerns: If the NDC is avoiding Kokrokoo because of Sefa Kayi, why should the NPP still support the show without him?
Sarpong comes to the conclusion that the NPP ought to think about boycotting the program as well if Kwami Sefa Kayi is not reinstalled. He contends that in order to stop Fadda Dickson from introducing NDC influences to the station, either Sefa Kayi returns to Kokrokoo or the NPP resigns its support.
