Kevin Taylor, who is currently the Head of Public Affairs at COCOBOD, recently posted on Facebook that Dr. Randy Abbey should fire Fiifi Boafo right away. Taylor claims that because the nation is going through a reset, Dr. Randy Abbey has to relieve Fiifi Boafo of his responsibilities in order to reset COCOBOD. This follows Dr. Ransford Anertey Abbey's appointment by President John Dramani Mahama as the Ghana Cocoa Board's (COCOBOD) Acting CEO, which took effect on January 21, 2025. This appointment was formally confirmed in a letter signed by Secretary to the President Dr. Callistus Mahama in compliance with Section 12(2) of the Ghana Cocoa Board Act, 1984 (P.N.D.C.L. 81) and Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution. Known by most as Randy Abbey, Dr. Abbey is a seasoned football administrator and journalist. He just finished hosting the "Good Morning Ghana" program for Metro TV for 23 years. He also holds the position of president of Kpando Hearts of Lions Football Club and is a member of the Ghana Football Association's Executive Council.
