In a car accident in the Upper West, two BECE applicants were killed.

A traffic accident in the Upper West Region claimed the lives of two candidates for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Taufii Ibrahim and Abdul Khalid, the deceased, were Charia Roman Catholic Junior High School students.

Rafiq Salam, the Upper West Regional correspondent for JoyNews, reports that on Sunday, April 3, the two were en route to join their Charia colleagues at their test center in Washington when their motorcycle was involved in an accident.

Motorcycles are the main mode of transportation in the area, according to Rafiq, who also revealed that the applicants were traveling to stay in Wa for the week-long exams because there isn't a center in their hamlet.

They were taken to a neighboring medical institution,
