Finally responding to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's defeat, Okatakyie Afrifa, the anchor of Angel FM's morning show, wrote to John Dramani Mahama. Ghanaians have voted for change, according to Okatakyie Afrifa's latest Facebook post. With humility, he conveyed his admiration for the decision made by the decent people of Ghana. Okatakyie Afrifa then congratulated the NDC and John Dramani Mahama on their success. Okatakyie Afrifa is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as you may already be aware. He has frequently asserted that John Dramani Mahama would not have much to offer Ghanaians if he were to win the presidency again and has repeatedly prophesied that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would win the 2024 elections.
This response follows John Dramani Mahama, the former president of Ghana, winning a historic victory in the 2024 presidential election. Mahama defeated New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia while representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Following his tenure as president from 2012 to 2017, Mahama's victory signifies his return to the presidency. Renegotiating parts of the IMF bailout agreement and generating employment through a promised 24-hour economy were two of Mahama's campaign's main objectives. Voters' discontent with the way the current administration is managing the economy is reflected in his return.
The victor of the 2024 elections has not yet been formally announced by the Ghanaian Electoral Commission. Nonetheless, it is well recognized from a number of sources that the NDC's John Dramani Mahama has won the elections. The percentage difference between the NDC and the NPP has not yet been disclosed by the EC.
