Blakk Rasta, a Ghanaian singer and radio host, has highlighted the family history of fraud suspect Abu Trica in order to make more general remarks regarding the arrest and the circumstances that gave rise to him.

Blakk Rasta stated in a video that went viral on the internet on December 14, 2025, that the man who has been extensively featured in the media as Abu Trica was born and raised in Swedru and came from what he described as a typical working-class background.


Frederick Kumi is his true name, and he was born and reared in Swedru. Later on, he chose to go by Abu Trica. He stated, "His mother sells tilapia at the Swedru Market, and his father works as a carpenter."

Blakk Rasta emphasized that the suspect's history demonstrates that he came from a normal household in the community rather than from affluence or privilege. Those who grew up with the suspect, he said, think he is still pretty young.

"The youthful man portrayed in the media is most likely under thirty years old. According to those who grew up in the same Swedru neighborhood as him, he might be between 25 and 28 years old," he said.


Blakk Rasta discussed the scope of the operation that resulted in the arrest in addition to the personal information.
