Because of her missing money, the Methodist school's headmistress drags her students to a shrine.

A headmistress of a school in Kumasi has landed herself in trouble for forcing her students to swear at a shrine over her missing money.

Madam Akyaa Kusi of Mount Sinai Methodist Junior High School at Dompoase in Kumasi took her students to a deity to swear their innocence over GH¢1000 which got missing in her office.

According to an investigation by Human Rights Reporters Ghana (HRRG), she suspected the students might have stolen the money she kept in her office, given to the school as a capitation grant.

Without involving the police, she took the students to a deity in the town were the students swear that they would die with their relatives if they have indeed stolen the money.
