A Ford bus with registration number AS 9856-22 and an articulated truck with registration number AS 5296-16 were involved in a serious traffic accident on the Ejisu Manhyia/Adadientem section in the Ashanti Region.
The Ford bus was severely damaged in the crash, trapping the driver inside the debris. The driver, who suffered severe head and facial injuries, had to be rescued by onlookers. Only Kojo has been identified as the injured driver.

Kojo was taken to the Ejisu Government Hospital and is being treated there. Medical staff are anticipated to undertake additional treatments on the head lacerations to ascertain the exact extent of the injuries, according to a doctor at the clinic who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Muntari Konaba was operating the articulated truck with registration number AS 5296-16 that was involved in the collision. According to preliminary investigations, the accident was caused by a brake failure on the articulated truck.
